After a lot of careful consideration over the past months, and definitely with a bit of sadness and disappointment, we’ve decided to not reopen in NYC. Our goal when opening was to create fun and delicious food and an atmosphere that gives our patrons a taste of New Orleans outside of the city itself and create something lasting that could grow and even evolve over time. After many failed attempts to move to a new location, deep analysis of current market trends, the rising cost of doing business here, as well as some personal life changes, we’ve come to the conclusion that despite the great press and recognition we’ve received in such a short time, the restaurant atmosphere in NYC isn’t the place to achieve what it is we set out to do as a small non-chain restaurant with hopes of longevity. Chef Matt Pace will still be doing the occasional pop up and special events until the time and place to open up a permanent spot again are right, so feel free to check back here, follow us on social media, or follow Chef Matt Pace himself to keep up with what happens next. Thank you NYC, we love you!
